Aims & Objectives
To exchange current knowledge, expertise, perspectives, experiences, ideas and visions for best practice for Johne's Disease control between meat and milk producers, industry stakeholders, scientists and vets.

  • Determine the most cost effective approaches to Johne's Disease control
  • Optimise control regimens for Scottish beef and dairy farms
  • Deliver legacy best practice guidelines to aid control of Johne's Disease in cattle

Expected Outcomes
PARABAN will facilitate the opportunity to link and focus all stakeholders on the Johne's problem. Through a core framework of demonstration farms and champion farmers, it will use total farm results to explore the interaction of all factors that are currently limiting the control of ParaTB.
