Maximising feed intake - webinar recording

Published 26 October 16

Despite many advances in feeding dairy cows we are still faced with the challenge of ensuring consistent and adequate dry matter intake to maximise production and maintain health. Cows do not always consume their feed as it is delivered or in a manner which is good for them.

In this webinar, Professor Trevor DeVries from Guelph University, Canada reviews empirical studies on this topic, focusing on strategies that may be implemented that allow cattle to have good access to the feed provided to them, and consume it in manner which is conducive to good health, productivity, efficiency, and welfare.
