Scottish government provide funds to First Milk

Today (27 May) the Scottish government have announced they have made funds available for First Milk in order to provide support for dairy farmers, totalling approximately £465,000. Around £65,000 will be to support the cost of tankers transporting milk from the Isle of Bute to the mainland for the next 6 months. The other £400,000 is to be used for the Campbeltown Creamery.
